It's Two Days of Excitement with Historic Aircraft and Automobiles!

Car Show Participant Information:

Wings and Wheels Expo 2011 event participants shared their vehicles with fellow collectors, the public and also explored the various historic aircraft on display.

Many vehicle owners took advantage of the opportunity at the end of the day to have their automobile or motorcycle pictures taken with the historic aircraft.

Participants displayed a wide variety of vehicles rarely seen together, including Rat Rods to Model “T's,” Packards, DeSoto's, Morgans, Tri-Fives, Mustangs, '57 thru '67 Corvettes including split windows, Old Indians and Harleys and trucks. Everyday drivers to #2 vehicles were on the tarmac.

The car show vehicle entry gate opens at 8:00am both days and the show ends at 4:00pm. Please plan to arrive before 9:00am when the public gate opens. We ask that all participants arrive early and spend the entire day. Follow the signs for car show vehicle entry gate which is staffed all day.  Trailer parking is available.
 


The car show is held on a concrete ramp of a working, active airport. 

Tents are allowed as long as they are securely tied down with weights provided by the participant.

Food vendors are available.

Music is on site.

Loud sound systems are not allowed. 

No alcohol or smoking is permitted on airport property. 

For their safety, children must be continuously supervised.

Paper products, plastic bags, soda cans, anything that can become airborne – (and HGR's airfield DOES have crosswind) – MUST be secured!

Your $10.00 entry fee is good for both Saturday and Sunday.

You receive full access to the show, a  multi-colored dash plaque, a copy of the museum’s New Pegasus magazine and decal and ticket for prize drawings.

Two trophies each day for Best of Show will be selected by participants and the public. The two categories are 1946 and earlier and 1947 to 1987. 

Registration is open to all vehicles built before 1987.
